If your heart desires to know Jesus, pray something like this:

Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned and that I am not worthy of Your forgiveness. But the Bible tells me that You died to forgive all of my sins. I know You promise that if I come to You and trust in You, You will forgive my sins.

I confess my sins and I profess my faith in You.  I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose from the dead. I desire to know You. I ask that You forgive my sins and grant me eternal life with You, and help me to live my life in a way that pleases You.  In Your name, I pray.  Amen.
