Verse of the Day

Jesus is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. —Hebrews 7:25

Hebrews 7:25

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Jesus didn’t just come and die for us. He wasn’t just raised to give us life. No, as incredible as those gifts are, he adds another blessing to all he has done for us: until he can come and take us home to God, Jesus lives to ask God for grace in our behalf. Jesus is not only our Savior, he is our defender and brother at the Father’s side!

My Prayer…

Precious Savior, my Jesus, how I love you. You sacrificed heaven for me. You gave up dignity to redeem me. You destroyed death to assure me. But today, I am most thankful and most aware that every prayer I offer and every step I take you are in the Father’s presence to bless me. Thank you. Amen.

  1. Hebrews 7:25
Therefore, He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.

I am so very thankful that Jesus acts as our High Priest before Father God, and that He saves, not partially, but completely for He is the only one capable to save. Under the Old Covenant the high priests had to make sacrifice for their own sins first, and then the sins of the people. When Christ came His blood was sinless and pure, therefore He was the FINAL sacrifice for sin. He, unlike the high priests of old, did not sin and could not be held by death. He rose from the grave, defeating death, and is always at the right hand of God interceding on our behalf!

This is also more proof that there is no danger of any believer in Christ ever losing their salvation. Our eternal security rests on His continual intercession for us. And this will go on for all time because it can never be interrupted by death. What a glorious position we are in before God through Jesus Christ!

Chapter 7 of Hebrews is an awesome chapter of the book because it demonstrates Christ’s work in saving Christians from the power of sin. When we stop and realize ALL that Christ has done for us, and is continuing to do for us, how can we not be worshiping at His feet, and spending time in His Word daily with a grateful and adoring heart towards Him? He has saved us from an eternity in hell and has given us lives filled with His peace and joy through the Holy Spirit which indwells every person who places their faith in Him and His bloodshed for the forgiveness of sins (Romans 3:25).

    Romans 8:34
Who then will condemn us? No one – for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for u, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

    1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity – the man Christ Jesus.

Thank You Jesus for Your completed work on the cross for me, I love You my Savior, my Lord, and my God, and I praise You this day, Amen!

2 Corinthians 5:10

Amen.
