What Does Jude 1:25 Mean?

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:25(KJV)

Jude 1:25

Verse Thoughts
What a great encouragement and wealth of spiritual truth this benediction from Jude provides as he brings his short but dynamic little epistle to a close; that the only One Who is able to keep us from stumbling in our Christian walk and Who will one day joyfully present us faultless before His glorious presence, is none other than our God and Saviour.

And it is God our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, to Whom Jude ascribes a plethora of superlatives, for to Him alone we subscribe all glory, and splendour, and magnificence, and majesty, and might, and dignity, and dominion, and power, and pre-eminence, and authority. He alone is sovereign, He alone is God, and we have been bought by His blood and given His life as a free gift of grace, through faith in Him.

His eternal superiority was established before the foundation of the world was spoken into being, and His sovereign authority continues throughout all time and unto the timeless eternal ages that are to come for ever and ever.

Would that we were day-by-day and moment-by-moment swept off our feet and rendered breathless, as we considered the enormous encouragement and wonderful wealth of spiritual truth that is embedded in Jude’s magnificent benediction.

My Prayer
Heavenly Father, open the eyes of my heart to see Your glorious majesty, Your sovereign power, Your pre-eminent authority, and Your magnificent glory. For You alone are worthy of all glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, both now and forevermore. Praise Your wonderful name, forever and ever, AMEN.
