Firstborn+Created
Adam – God’s firstborn CREATED son of God sinned. And the glory of the Lord departed from Adam. But the seed of the woman was protected through a remnant.
Firstborn+Adopted
Israel – God’s firstborn ADOPTED son of God – sinned. And the glory of the Lord departed from the Temple of His people. But the seed of the Word of God was protected through a remnant .. and God reserved for Himself 7000 who did not bow the knee to Baal.
Firstborn+Created+Adopted
The Church – God’s firstborn, created soon to be adopted sons of God sinned. And the glory of God has already departed from the church. But God continues to work His work through a small insignificant little flock. There is nothing new under the sun.. that which has been is what will be, and that which is done is what will be done. Ecclesiastes 1:9
Little Flock
God has indeed withdrawn His presence from the Church He loves so much, just as He withdrew from the nation He chose to be His inheritance. But He reserves for Himself a few – a remnant that will trust in His love. He keeps for Himself a little flock – a tiny ‘Gideon’s army’ who live by faith. And the increase of the world’s evil is commensurate with God’s withdrawing.. until the fullness of evil is come into the world. THEN will God justly judge.. until the fullness of the gentiles is come in. Then God will rapture His church.
Faithful Builder
But God never forgot His promise to Israel, His adoptive firstborn son: “and so all Israel shall be saved”. And He’ll never forget His promise to the Church – His adopted children: “I will build My church” – but I will build it in My way and not in the way that you think.
Man’s Vanity
Oh!—if I were God I know what I would do…. !!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am not…. and I thank God that I am not God!!!!! I guess you feel the same as me…. If I were God I’d . . . . .@£$%^&*()!@ !!! But you are not – and I thank God that you are not God either!!
God’s People
In the whole of the sin-soaked, sour-saturated world-system, God has His people – simple – little – quiet – unassuming- ill-treated – misunderstood people. I have reserved for Myself a “7000” who have not bowed the knee to Baal.
God’s 7000
Have you ever thought about that 7000 strong army – I have. I imagined a great company of strapping prophets and fighting young men.. armed to the teeth with knives and spears.. conversant in war strategies – rippling muscles and a singing great songs of praise in glorious harmony!! But no… that is not the way that God works. The 7000 would have been a measly mess of pitiful little people: a poor widow with nothing to eat.. a blind man.. a pauper – an outcast leper. The homeless and helpless and poor and pathetic…
Cloud of Witnesses
“Men and women that were tortured, not accepting deliverance,-that they might obtain a better resurrection. Men and women that had trials of mockings and scourgings – yes, and of chains and imprisonment. Men or women that were were stoned and sawn in two. Men and women that were were tempted. Men and women that were were slain with the sword. Men or women that wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins. Men and women that were destitute, afflicted, tormented.. Men and women of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, dens and caves of the earth, and all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith.” Heb.11:1ff. DID NOT RECEIVE THE PROMISE, WOW!
WHY????
Why did they not receive the promise that God Promised them? God having provided something better for US – so that THEY should not be made perfect apart from us. They would be those that put their faith in their God, no matter what. They would be those that took God at His Word, and believed what He said. They would be the unsung heroes of scripture – nestling in Hebrews chapter 11.
Israel’s Remnant
They would be ones that, “hopefully”, trusted in His word. They would be men and women that, “patiently”, waited for His time. They would be servants of the Lord that, “trustingly”, resting in His love. And for every lone Elijah, God reserves “7000” more who remained faithful.
Church Remnant
Today God has reserved for Himself a similar remnant.. one here – one there. Little people who believe God’s word, irrespective of circumstances. Odd folk here and there that trust God’s word implicitly – no matter what. They would be ones that ‘hopefully trusted’ in His word.
Faithful Servants
Let us like them be ones that ‘hopefully trust’ in His WORD. Let us like them be men and women that ‘patiently wait’ for His TIME.. Let us like them be servants of the Lord that ‘trustingly rest ‘in His LOVE.

3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.
4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.
5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
6 All the days that he separateth himself unto the Lord he shall come at no dead body.
7 He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.
8 All the days of his separation he is holy unto the Lord.
9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.

15 And a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings.
16 And the priest shall bring them before the Lord, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering:
17 And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.
18 And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings.
19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of his separation is shaven:
20 And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.
21 This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the Lord for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

1 Corinthians 2
