Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
How often have you been disappointed by someone you voted for? How many friends have betrayed you? Have you ever been abandoned by a loved one? How many church leaders have let you down?
While we love others and care about them, every other person in our world is just like us. Each is a flawed human being who breathes the same air and walks the same ground as we do. Only One is worthy of our ultimate trust. He showed us by sacrificing what was most precious to him so we could know his love. Let’s not put our hope in other mere mortals; only God can safeguard our trust and ensure our future. Let’s put our hope in him!
My Prayer…
Father, you know the broken places in my heart that were caused by the failure of people in my life. I confess that I have sometimes become disillusioned with your way because of the failures and inconsistencies in your people. Deep down I know, dear Father, that their failures do not mean your failure, but it is hard for it not to feel that way. Call me close to you. Give me a more gracious heart toward those who fail me. Establish my faith, strong and firm in you, O LORD. In you, O God, I put my trust. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
We see it every day in our world, don’t we, people placing their trust in mankind instead of the God who created them? The majority of earths citizens swallow every lie that the devil feeds them through various corrupt government leaders, radical cult leaders, celebrities, sports stars, the mainstream media…..etc. It is not anything new or different, it was going on in Isaiah’s time as well. People were trusting in false gods, kings, and religious leaders who were leading them astray. So, God tells them to stop it.
Outside of Christ, mankind would rather believe a lie than the truth;
Romans 1:25
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served the created things rather than the Creator – who is forever praised.
I am always amazed at those in our world who claim to know the “truth”, yet do not. God’s Word is truth, every single word in it is fact, not theory, the world teaches it’s theories as fact and God’s facts as theory! As God’s children we must be cautious of what we believe, everything must be filtered through God’s Word. For example our public school systems teach the “big bang theory” and evolution as fact, this is a lie for God says in His Word that He created the earth and us (Genesis chapters 1&2).
We must also be careful to not just believe everything even pastors, clergy, or Christian authors tell us. While there are many who are very godly and helpful to us, if what they are teaching is not in line with God’s Word then we are to reject it. In short, God and His Word the bible are the final Authority in the life of every true child of God. Mankind is fallible, God is not! So, who are you going to place your trust in?
Father God, thank You for opening my eyes to Your truth. Thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to this earth to die for my sins. I love You so and pray that You help me to always place my trust in You for everything in my life, for Your glory Abba, Amen!
Indeed majority of earths citizens swallow up the enemy’s lies John 3:19-20 “And this is the condemnation that light is come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil for everyone that doeth evil hateth the light neither cometh to the light lest his deeds should be reproved “ if we can all be transparent sin is rather enjoyable and pleasing to the flesh and for most people that is the driving force in which they live by people can be presented with truth but they don’t wanna hear it they are lovers of pleasures not Jesus it talks about people wishing for mountains to fall on them rather than repentance to the lord attachment to sin is that serious we on the other hand are willing to die to our old self each waking day because our spirit longs for our God and we realize the flesh is our adversary and we have to put up a fight but our lord has promised us victory in that battle and by his gracious faith he has bestowed to us we fight the good fight because no sin or pleasure is worth an eternity separated from God the sad thing is the enemy has the world fooled in that people who have good paying jobs nice family and friends and seemingly no problems that’s breeding ground for having Godless thoughts when your good you don’t think or need God and the enemy is victorious in keeping you distracted with sports and entertainment and God forbid you and loved ones get sick or injured and now they call on the lord but they are mere strangers but even the rain falls on the wicked the lord is just that Good let’s not be swept away by the enemy’s schemes let’s remain sober and vigilant at all times for that serpent seeks to kill and destroy let’s abide in our lords love as we oil our lamps and wait for our lords return not as the world and other religions think because they seemed to have missed him the first time around they are expecting a Jesus who brings peace which is a false peace but we know that’s the Man of perdition (aka antichrist)our lord savior and redeemer brings wrath and fire upon the land and he will keep us his children because we plead his blood and received his sacrifice blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be encouraged and lifted in our lord’s love this day much love and blessings 🙏🙌🏾🦁❤️🔥
