MORNING TIME WITH THE LORD

From the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard.

Daniel 10:12
Isaiah 57:15
Psalm 51:17
Psalm 138:6
1 Peter 5:6
James 4:6-7
Psalm 86:5-7

Thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—these, O God, You will not despise.  Though the Lord is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.  Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.  God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore submit to God.

You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.
