THE LORD WILL GO BEFORE YOU

Isaiah. 52:12  For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rereward

What a wonderful promise! Not only will the Lord go before us, but He will also be our rear guard. The Lord is our light; He’s our salvation, and He is leading us in the way that we should go. Therefore, whom shall we fear?  God is for us, not against us, so why should we worry about the enemy trying to stop us?

God is our Defense; He goes before us to make the crooked places straight, and He’s behind us to support and protect us in all our ways. His word says, “surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives.” God has us fully covered, so why should we worry about what men may try to do.

Just as the Lord went before the children of Israel in their journeys and was behind them to protect them from the enemy who pursued them; He is also there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.  God has built a hedge of protection around His children, and the enemy has no power to stop us from reaching our destination.

The road may get rough on this journey, and we may not understand everything the Lord is doing, but we must believe and trust in Him that He is working things out for our good. And as we abide in Him and His words abide in us; we can ask Him for directions, and He will whisper to us saying, “This is the way, walk there in it.”

Oh, what wonderful peace and joy we have in knowing that the Lord has already gone before us to prepare the way for us. Surrender all to the Lord and allow Him to take the lead. The Lord has ordered your steps. Therefore, be grateful this day; for the Lord is going before you; moving the stumbling blocks out of your way and leading you on the path to everlasting.
