Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
God has a purpose and plan for each of our lives. The greatest thing we can do is to find that purpose and live it out. We can trust his purpose for us because it is based on his wisdom and love. As long as we seek his will, we’re not going to do anything that can ultimately mess up his purpose for us. Yes, we may at times stray from the perfect channel he wants us to travel, but we never get totally out of the main channel. As long as we do not abandon him, and remember he will never forsake us, he will use us for his purposes.
My Prayer…
O Sovereign God, help me discern today what my life is intended to fulfill in your plan. Thank you for loving me and promising to walk beside me every step of my life. I live trusting that you will never forsake me and committed to never forsaking you. In the name of your faithful Son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever – do not abandon the work of your hands.
David is expressing his confidence in God in this whole chapter, but here in vs. 8, he is telling how God will perfect that which concerns him. It is the same confidence echoed by Paul in Philippians 1:6 which says, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
As God’s dearly loved children we should not loose heart that God will take care of things in our lives, He loves us and will never just leave us to our own defenses. Even when circumstances may seem bleak, we have His assurance that He is in complete control of all that touches our lives. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
There is no need for us to worry and fret over happenings in our lives, when we keep our focus on Christ and seek to do His will for us, He will take care of the details around us that need smoothing out, He most certainly will perfect that which concerns us!
God’s love endures forever, His love is eternal for His children! Praise God that He is faithful and can be trusted in. He will not abandon us, the work of His hands, for we are His creation, His children, and He cares for us with tender mercy. Hebrews 13: 5 tells us that He will never leave us or forsake us. What a blessed promise this is, the God of the universe will never, ever leave us. How can we not rejoice with joy unspeakable knowing what we know, God and His never ending love for us who have placed our faith in the precious blood of His Son Jesus Christ? What a glorious position we have in Him, and what a glorious possession. We are His and He is ours; nothing can ever separate us from His love!
Thank You Father God for watching over all that concerns me in life, and for never leaving me or forsaking me. I love You so and give You praise, honor, and glory this day! Amen.
