Verse of the Day

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. —Psalm 90:2 and 4

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

So many things about our life are uncertain. This one thing, however, is sure: no matter where, when, or how long, God will be there and will be with us and for us.

My Prayer…

Everlasting Father, I find great comfort in knowing that I cannot be in a place or time where you are not. Stir my courage through your Spirit that I may be more bold, by your power and presence, to share the Gospel of Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

  1. There is great comfort in the fact that in the midst of so much change in our world, when many things fade or disappear completely, God is unchanging (Malachi 3:6). He always has been, and always will be God. He is our refuge, He is infinite, holy, just, powerful, wise, loving, and the absolute definition of truth. That will never, ever change. For He is from everlasting to everlasting. The view that mankind takes of God changes daily, but that does not mean that He changes. Human nature is very fickle, but God is steady, He is a our Rock and our security forever. For a person like me, who does not like change, I find extreme comfort in this fact of our wonderful Father God!

To God a thousand years is as a day, this is a good thing to remember when waiting on God for something! We tend to be an “instant” society. But God has His own timetable and His timetable is perfect as opposed to ours which is flawed. God is never late in keeping His Word, and He is never late at answering our prayers even though it may seem so to us at times. When we fully trust God, we will not worry, stew, or fret about things for we are confident that He who is from everlasting to everlasting, He who will never leave us or forsake us, and He who loved us so very much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us, will do just as He promises for we are His blood bought children! We know that all things will work together for our good because we love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Thank You Father God for Your love for me, thank You for sending Jesus to this earth to die for my sin. I love You so and give You praise this glorious day, Amen!
